8/27/07 Algebraic Expressions

How do you evaluate algebraic expressions and powers? Explain the two number games we played.

umm, I don't really understand the first question, but do you use algebraic tearms like +,-,x,= instead of words.maybe?
We played the game where you took a number added 5,doubbled that #,then took the orignal # and doubbled it,subtracted by 10 and got zero every time.
The next game is solved by the first and last 6# addd up to 999. Subtract 2 from the middle number and bring that number down to the answer. So, you have 2,000 something.

Good job Alicia explaining the games! Maybe you could also give an example.
About the first question, I want you to explain how to evaluate an expression like 24x when x=2. Can you make another comment, please?
